Life Skills That Last

See how students are exploring and
creating with hands-on activities.

The Deaf community is rich and vibrant, with its own language and culture built on visual communication. At Bohol Deaf Academy, we celebrate this while also preparing our high school students for the future through hands-on training.

Students take classes in cooking, bread and pastry production, food and beverage service, housekeeping, landscaping, and shop work. These programs give students practical skills they can use to find jobs, care for their families, and take part confidently in their communities.

Each year, students build these skills step by step until they feel at home using them. Thanks to support from TESDA, a government agency that certifies vocational training, our students can also earn official certificates. This not only strengthens their talents and self-confidence, but also opens real opportunities for work and independence that last a lifetime.
