For fourteen years, Krishnna lived without school, friends, or a way to communicate — a reality many Deaf children in remote areas still face. Her parents, like so many others, didn’t know what help was out there or what her future could hold.
That’s when IDEA’s outreach team stepped in. They visited Krishnna’s home again and again, gently encouraging her family and sharing what was possible. On the third visit, something changed. Her parents said yes, opening the door to a new chapter in Krishnna’s life.
Today, Krishnna is a first-grade student at an IDEA-supported school. For the first time, she has language to connect with the world around her. She is gaining confidence, making friends, and showing a love for learning. Now, Krishnna looks ahead with determination to complete her education.
