In the Philippines, Christmas is the longest season of the year, beginning as early as September. On IDEA’s campuses, this season brings decorations hung with care, Christmas songs practiced in sign language, and a sense of excitement that builds week by week.
For most students, IDEA’s celebrations also provide them with their only Christmas gifts. More than presents, though, it’s the chance to celebrate as part of a community that sees them, values them, and reminds them they are loved by Christ.
As the season begins, our students have been sharing their heartfelt wishes:
“I hope that this Christmas, my family and relatives can all celebrate together. We’ll enjoy dinner, play games, and exchange gifts.” – John Gabriel
“This Christmas, I pray that God blesses my family with good health.” – Mary Angel
“Thank you, IDEA, for supporting our education. We are able to go to school because of your help.” – Joel
Their words remind us what truly matters. And because of your support, each child knows they are part of a family who loves and values them. Donate to Spread JOY to ensure every student receives a Christmas gift this December.
