First John begins with the word “see,” which our students understand deeply. Sign language is a visual language, and for our students, love has always been something they watch happen.
For over 40 years, God has used IDEA to reach Deaf children in the Philippines. What began small has grown to eight school sites and more than eight businesses. 350+ students are currently enrolled, and graduates are working as teachers, bakers, restaurant and hotel workers, and carpenters.
Each Christmas we have the chance to remind every student in the IDEA family that they are deeply loved, both by us and by Christ.
Your gift shows LOVE in four ways:
- LIGHT: Christmas gifts and celebrations, plus our Deaf Festival, held once every three years.
- OUTREACH: Finding Deaf children who have never been to school, and the sponsors to support their journey.
- VOCATIONAL TRAINING: Cooking, hospitality, sewing, woodworking, baking, & more, leading to real work with an income that can support them.
- EQUIP: Repairing the dorms and classrooms where the students live and learn.

$20 gives a student a Christmas gift (for most, the only one they will receive).
$50 helps a newly found student enroll in school for the very first time.
$150 equips an entire class with sewing skills they can use both at work and at home, giving them a sense of purpose and value.
$500 provides career training that prepares a student for work in jobs that allow them to support themselves and their families.
