Summer 2023 Newsletter

It is a great honor and joy for us to have a new set of students graduate this school year 2022-2023. Fifteen students graduated from senior high school and 23 students completed junior high at Bohol Deaf Academy (BDA).

We sincerely appreciate your assistance in spreading Christmas cheer to the deaf children we serve in the Philippines. Because of your generosity, our deaf students received Christmas gifts, new blankets, mosquito nets, and food baskets to share with their families this holiday season.

Core House for Typhoon Odette Victims

Through the generosity of NORFIL Foundation, IDEA was able to provide core houses to five families of our deaf students that lost their homes during the onslaught of category 5 Super Typhoon Odette in December 2021. The core houses were prefabricated at Hammer and Nails Livelihood Center, one of IDEA’s Employment & Income Generating Projects.
