When IDEA met Phil’s family during summer outreach 12 years ago, his mother was overwhelmed: “I was worried about his future because as a single mom, how could I send him to school? I didn’t have the money for tuition, supplies, and his basic needs.”
Because of donors like you, IDEA was able to step in.
Over the next 12 years, Phil thrived in IDEA. He received communication skills, academics, and vocational training. Most importantly, Phil encountered Jesus in a profound way.
“IDEA changed my life,” Phil reflects. “Through Bible stories & activities, I saw how Jesus can change hearts and guide our lives. I learned that Jesus wants us to serve others, be humble, and live with purpose. The teachers and lessons helped me believe in myself and follow the right path.”
Phil recently graduated as valedictorian and will soon begin working at a resort in his passion area of baking and cooking.
