IDEA Philippines began preparing for Christmas months ago but the week of December 3rd to the 7th is shopping week. This is the week that we buy gifts for around 400 deaf children on the islands of Bohol and Leyte. It’s a big challenge and it can only be accomplish by our super duper ” IDEA Shopping Team” . This team has mastered the term “shop ’till you drop”. They hit the stores running with the deaf student’s wish lists, tracings of the children’s feet, and a tape measures in hand. Pretty soon the IDEA Philippines’ office will be piled high with gifts and then this team will be transformed into the “IDEA Gift Wrapping Team.
