A home is where safety begins, where meals are shared, and where families grow in strength and dignity. For Jhon, an IDEA student beneficiary, the meaning of home is now a reality. This past March, a team of teenagers from Cascade Christian School outside of Seattle, WA, came together to both financially and physically provide a home for a family who had long been in need of safe housing.
“I was so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to serve Jhon and his family through the house build. Getting to know their family through this experience was a blessing and I was excited to keep my relationship with them going through sponsoring Jhon!” shared Grace, one of the team members.
Working side by side with IDEA staff and workers, the team poured their effort into every stage of construction—from carrying materials to finishing touches that transformed the house into a place of belonging. “I didn’t expect our family to be chosen… thank you very much,” Niño’s father shared.
