IDEA continues to strengthen its partnership with other organizations and agencies in order to serve more deaf children. This time, IDEA goes national with its invitation to the Department of Education Central Office to come visit its programs and services in Bohol.
Five representatives from DEPED Central office representing the different bureaus (Bureau of Learning Resources, Bureau of Learning Delivery, Bureau of Curriculum Development, Bureau of Education Assessment – Education Research Division, and Student Inclusion Division – Bureau of Learning Delivery) came to IDEA for a two-day exposure visit and forum on deaf education on August 28-29, 2018. They got to visit to IDEA’s Employment and Income Generating Projects, the dormitory in the town of Loon, Bohol, and Bohol Deaf Academy. The Bohol Schools Division Superintendent and SPED Coordinator also attended the forum.
It was indeed another significant and productive visit. IDEA certainly looks forward to more years of fruitful partnership with the Department of Education as it continues to serve the deaf population in Bohol and Leyte.
Cheers to all those who work hard in helping the deaf children!
