By special request the employees of the Dao Diamond held an encore performance of their Christmas Production for our special visitors from Billings, MT and the students at the Bohol Deaf Academy. Without words the audience was drawn into the drama as scene by scene the group depicted the birth, death and resurrection of Christ. Intense emotion stirred as the Roman Soldiers came and captured Christ and nailed Him to the cross.
Then the music changed to an eerie tone and lights went low as Satan entered the scene. Be it alcohol, gambling, money or adultery, Satan has a way of enticing our hearts away from the truth. As each sketch played out the pull of the enemy on the hearts of men and women was evident. It was a beautiful example of how we are so blind to the dealings of the enemy.
All the while Christ pleaded for their hearts. As in the greatest story ever told, Christ the King of the universe came in and rescued the captives to sin and set them free. It was well scripted, directed the costumes were creative and colorful, it was a delight to all in attendance. And best of all it looked like the cast had a lot of fun doing it!
At the end of the show the teens from B.D.A. were invited to show off their amazing hip hop dance moves. With skill and precision they amazed all with the choreography they had come up with. The disco lights came on the music got turned way up and the crowd was invited to dance. Some students could hear better than others but that didn’t seem to stop any of them from dancing from the heart. What a beautiful sight to see! Sometimes the music would go off and they would still dance but other than that you would never know that they couldn’t hear the music.
